Primary School at Uluwatu School

At Uluwatu School, our Primary Programme nurtures confident, curious, and connected learners.

Daily rituals such as morning circles and storytelling create a strong sense of belonging, while meaningful rites of passage honour each child’s growth. In this supportive community, every child’s voice is valued and learning is joyful, purposeful, and shared.

Strong foundations sit at the heart of our programme. Through Social, Emotional and Ethical Learning (SEE Learning), children develop self-awareness, empathy, and confidence. Our academic bedrock of Language Arts and Number Enquiry equips learners to read, write, communicate, problem-solve, and apply maths meaningfully in real-world contexts.

Alongside these fundamentals, children explore Natural Sciences and Creative Arts, engaging in hands-on, project-based learning inspired by curiosity and personal passions. Whether exploring ocean science, storytelling, design, or environmental care, learning becomes relevant, creative, and deeply engaging.

Our Primary Programme is the living foundation of a child’s educational journey — supporting them to grow into capable, compassionate, and motivated learners.

Middle School at Uluwatu School

Our Middle School programme supports learners at a powerful stage of growth — as they develop independence, self-awareness, and the confidence to navigate new challenges.

At this stage, our learners become Navigators. They are encouraged to explore beyond the familiar, build resilience and determination, and take increasing responsibility for their learning and leadership within the school community.

Middle School learning is guided by Uluwatu School’s Four C’s: Connection, Curiosity, Collaboration, and Contribution. These values come to life through our signature interdisciplinary programme, Reef to Reef, which acts as a guiding light for learning and exploration.

Through Reef to Reef, learners engage deeply with their environment and the wider world. Learners begin close to home, exploring the Bukit region and developing a strong connection to the ocean, place, and community through fieldwork and local engagement.

Then, learners expand their perspective to central Bali, exploring different lived experiences and developing empathy through storytelling and a global short film project. In Grade 8, learners travel further north, undertaking in-depth research projects in collaboration with local organisations. Their learning culminates in a student-led symposium, where they share their journeys, insights, and contributions.

Alongside Reef to Reef, learners continue to strengthen core academic foundations in Communication & Language, Number Enquiry, and Social, Emotional and Ethical Learning. These skills are meaningfully embedded across Creative Arts, Natural Sciences, Ocean Literacy, and Global Societies, ensuring learning remains relevant, challenging, and connected to real-world issues.

Our Middle School programme empowers learners to think critically, act compassionately, and see themselves as active contributors to their community and the wider world.
